Renukoot Weather


The weather of Renukoot is generally found to be mix. From January to December, Renukoot climate varies. The weather of Renukoot is not as humid as Mirzapur, Allahabad and Varanasi cities which are near to it.

Summers- The summers in Renukoot is not found to be so pleasant. The temperature rises around 44 degrees during this time. April to June mainly marks this summer season.
Hindalco staff enjoys round o clock electricity from Hindalco's Management , so they actually they do not have  problems of Summer sweating.

Monsoon- The rainy season of Renukoot is very pleasant and entertaining. The nearby Rihand Dam gates are opened during thie monsoon. It is the best time for Renukoot people to enjoy. Monsoon in Renukoot marks its presence from July to August.

Winters- The winter of Renukoot is chilling and cold. Since this place is situated at an high altitude so temperature gets down around 9 degrees. Even winters can be enjoyed with a beautiful scenic beauty provide by this city. October to March are the basic months of winter season in Renukoot.


Best time to visit

The month of March is considered to be the the best time to visit Renukoot. Apart from March, September - October are also best visting time. March is also known as Spring season of Renukoot

Festivals like Holi, Diwali, Dussehara, Navratri, Durga Puja, Bhai Dooj, Chhath are the festivals which ensures the best climatic consitions of Renukoot.

Renukoot Colonies (Hindalco Colony or Birla Colony)


Renukoot is a place where Birlas' set up their factory- Hindalco. Today, Hindalco comes under top 30 companies of India emerging as world's biggest Aluminium producer.

For employees welfare, Birla colonies have been set up by Hindalco mangement which is majorly divide into two parts-

  • Upper Colony (Adm Colony)
  • Lower Colony

Upper Colony

This colony is mainly established for high level officers and engineers. Employees of Hindalco reached here after getting promoted or aftter geeting transferred to Hindalco with high position in Company.

This colony is mainly established for both  high level officers and engineers. Employees of Hindalco are mainly given homes in this colony first and after getting promoted, their flat convenience gets increased. Senior, Junior. G-type and F-type are considered as best flats to live here.

Renukoot Attractions

Renukoot Attractions

1. Renukeshwar Mahadev (Birla Temple)- This temple was built in May 1972 by skilled artisans. From 1972 to till date, the temple has been a lot changed. Many renovations are still taking place. The temple attracts numerous visitors round the year. This sacred place is also known as Birla Temple since Hindalco's founder G. D. Birla was also the motivation behind the this beautifully carved temple.
This mythological place walls has a unique stone carvings by skilled and expert artisans. The temple has Shivji- Parvatiji shrine as well as a Shivling. The huge idol of  Nandi Bail(Ox) in front of temple's Garbha Griha  is a worth watch.






2. Hindalco Factory(Asia's Biggest Aluminium Factory)-  Hindalco is an aluminium company started by Mr. Ghanshyam Das Birla. It is very attractive because of its infrastructure and modern technical facilities. The head office is situated in Mumbai but the main production work is done in here. This company is one of the biggest metal companies in World producing maximum amount of aluminium(primary) in whole Asia, so every month, the company offers various passes to many trainers and staff family members for visiting this huge company.
This big company is a worth watch for all those who wants to explore a high scale metal industry. The metal giant looks very beautiful at night because of the lightnings.





3 .Rihand Dam-  Rihand Dam is built on Rihand river. This old dam was constructed during the reign of first Prime Minister - Pt. Jawahar Lala Nehru. This dam is very beautiful and have amazing sightseeing. Earlier the dam was seen via "view hill" which is closed now.
During the monsoon season, the water level rises and number of gates gets opened. That's why, the dam is best seen during rainy season. There is bridge on the Rihand river which also gives a clear view of the dam to the bridge passers. People of Renukoot loves to have picnics around this dam.




4. Hanuman Temple(Adm Colony)- This temple is situated in the Upper colony or Administrative colony of Renukoot. The temple is mainly known for its quite and peaceful environment. Every Tuesday, number of devotees come here to pay obeisance to Hanumanji.
The temple is found at a high altitude and provides a good view of Hindalco factory. The temple saints allow the devotees to gift Hanumanji idol various clothes and gifts.



5. Renukoot Mall (under construction)- Although, this mall of Renukoot is under construction but the plans have already been decided for it . Its a 3-storey high building near birla market. The mall is getting constructed on the same place where earlier Hindalco Super bazaar was situated.
This mall is going to be shoppers paradise because of the different types of brands and shops planned in it. The box office presence further adds the mall's attraction.


6. Ram Mandir (Kanoria Temple)-This Ram Temple of Kanoria(now ABCL) is known for its beautiful shrine of Lord Rama. According to sources, this shrine of Ram-Sita attracts the devotees to a lot extent. This temple is beautifully carved out by expert artisans.
Apart from the amazing shrines, this religious site has natural beauty too.The greenery and the religious atmosphere helps to curb the stress.




7. Lotus Temple (Hi Tech Carbon)- As it name indicates, the temple is in the shape of lotus flower. It is said that the temple's building structure is motivated by the Lotus temple at Delhi. This religious site is also known as Narayan lakshmi Mandir since Narayan-Laxmiji are the main deity here.
This temple is situated in Hi-Tech Carbon which is 2-3 kilometers from Renukoot and also famous as Hi-Tech Mandir. Apart from the Narayan-laxmiji idol, Sita-Ram, Radhe-Krishna, Ganeshji and Durgaji idols and Shivling is also present.



8. Radhe- Krishna Mandir (Murdhawa)- Radhe- Krishna Temple is also known as Murdhawa temple since it is present in Murdhawa which is around 2 Kilometres from Renukoot. This famous temple is present in a vast area containing two different religious buildings.
The religious place is famous for the magnificent Radhe-krishna idol which can be even seen from outside the temple premises. Apart from Radhe-Krishna idol, the temple also have other deities of Lord Ram, Shivji,Narayanji, Durgaji etc. Above every shine gate, there is one vedic line. Above Sita-Ram shrine, there is line of Sunderkand- "Nirmal man jan so  mohi pava, mohi kapat chhal chiddra na bhava"  The other religious buildings contains some important historical events of Indian religious history and the garbha griha is having a big Shivling for worshipers. The temple is known for providing a new energy to its devotees.




9. Lehara- It is one of the favorite destinations of Renukoot people because of its natural beauty. It is named as Lehara because it is similar to "lehars" of water. This aqauatic place is very good for bathing and fishing.
This tourist destination is best visted in summers and monsoon. The streams flowing in between rocks is worth watch. It is simply impossible for any tourist to return from Lehara without taking bath. This place is quite in jungle but can be reached easily with private vehicles. Hindalco families are very regular to this place and is regarded as one of the best picnic spot.


10. Chilka lake(Shaktinagar)- Chilka Jheel is in Shaktinagar and  is around 66 Kilometres from Renukoot. This place is named after famous Andhra Pradesh Chilka lake. It is known as one of the best picnic spots of the whole Sonebhdara district. Most of the school picnic trips are organized here only.
This picnic spot is situated in a large area having all the recreational facilities. The picnic spot is having a pond in center of the park with facility of boating. Outdoor games like cricket,football, badminton can be best enjoyed here. A big windmill is also here along with the refreshment canteen.




11. Durga Puja Pandaal(At Dusshera Time)- Durga Puja is one of the main festivals of Indians and similarly Renukoot people too celebrate this festival with a lot of zeal. These Durga Maa pandaals are very attractive and every year it takes a different renowned buildings shape.
These pandaals are formed in Mitali Club of Renukoot Hindalco Colony. From the very first day of navratri(religious nine days) till Dussehara, these pandaals are visited by thousands of visitors. Different stalls are setup in the same ground for refreshment. These pandals contains attractive idols of Durga mata.
So these Durga Maa pandals in renukoot are worth watch. The pandals and idols of Durga maa is mainly financed by Renukoot Bengalis and Hindalco management.




12. Van Devi-  The Van Devi temple near Rihand dam is very famous among people of Renukoot. Round the year, devotees visit this place for paying obeisance to Van Devi.
This temple is situated at an high altitude and is considered as protector to passers by various natural forces. Due to its scenic beauty, van Devi Mandir at Renukoot is a worth watch. According to Hindu mythology, the van devi mata always protect its devotees in jungle. The temple has a big follow up during navratris.




13. Jwala Devi Mandir-  It is said that this temple is inspired from Himachal Pradesh Jwala devi and a jwala always persist in the temple. This religious place is situated near Shaktinagar.
The temple is full of devotees during navratris. The temple is very attractive and people of Renukoot and Shaktinagar used to visit the place very frequently



14. Birla House(Adm Colony) - As it name indicates, birla house at renukoot is the house where Birla family stays during their vist to Renukoot. It is set up at administrative colony or Hindalco Upper Colony.
The Birla House is a worth watch because of the beautiful surroundings. A very big statue of Lord Shiva is set up in the front of house. A permanent stream of water flows through from the hair of Lord Shiva statue is one of the most amazing thing to see.

16. Hindalco Library- The hindalco library at Renukoot is sitauted inside Manoranjanalya. The library contains all types of books for childen to old age.
The first floor mainly contains the literature and fictions  while the first floor contains mainly the books for students. This library facilitates the book lovers all round the year. 

17. Vaishno Maa Mandir- The Vaishno Mata Mandir near Dala is inspired from Vaishno Devi Mandir at Jammu. The temple has a beautiful internal architecture. The garvha gruha can only be raeched by bending down the knees.
The temple first brick is watered by Jammu's Viahno Devi sacred water.
